VESSEL MAKING WATER
TO DOCK AT DUNEDIN

CHRISTCHURCH, December 29
On her arrival at Lyttelton this afternoon, the Rangatira was found to be making water slightly. After she had been inspected by the Lyttelton Harbour Board's diver, it was decided to send her to Port Chalmers for drydocking. The Wahine, which made a daylight trip from Wellington, arrived at 7.30 pjh., and sailed on the return trip ! an hour later, taking up the Rangatira's scheduled trip. Stewards and stewardesses on board the Rangatira were paid off on arrival at Lyttelton, and sailed for Wellington by the Wahine to join the Maori when she reeommissions tomorrow.
