Caught in the undertow while swimming. at Tangimoana on Saturday afternoon Flying Officer. J: R. M. Stewart, Flying Instructor at the Ohakea Air Force Station, was drowned. The efforts of two fellow-officers .to rescue him were unavailable. - . .
The deceased, aged 24, was a. singl<e man,- and a son of Mr. R. M. Stewait, of Eltham. * ■
