AUCKLAND, December 29.

Fourteen passengers arrived at Auckland today by the flying-boat Aotearoa, which made a fair-weather crossing from Sydney under the command of Captain Garden. Among the passengers was MajorGenera] Sir "John Duigan, Chief, of the General Staff, who headed the NewZealand delegation to the recent Eastern Group Conference at Delhi* Also on board were three children of one family. The passengers were Mrs. H. Begg, Miss M. Begg, Masters M. and D. Begg, Mrs. M. Z. Bradley, Miss A. Haes, Miss O. H. Fairhall, Major-General Sir John; Duigan, Lieutenant G. Crossley, Messrs. J. S. Gill, L. P. Healey, J. Paulie, Gv S. Radley, and G. Trippner.
