CAPTURE OF HONG KONG

HONG KONG, December 27,
The Commander-in-Chief of the British forces in the Far East, Air Chief Marshal Sir Robert Brooke-Popham, after a tour of the defences, stated: "Anyone who thinks that Hong Kong could be captured in three or four days has got an erroneous impression."
