RECENT WEDDINGS

CAMPBELL—CHORLEY.

Arum lilies and white roses decorated St. John's Church, Trentham, recently for the wedding of Doreen Joan, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Chorley, Trentham, and Sergeant Colin Craig Campbell, N.Z.T.P.S., second son of Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Campbell, Auckland. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a graceful trained frock of white georgette inset with lace. Her coronet of orange blossom and her long tulle veil, were lent by a friend. She carried a sheaf of; Christmas lilies and white roses. The bridesmaids, Misses Edna Ambridge and Joan Kay-

wood (cousins of the bride), and the flower-girl, Patricia Chorley (sister of the bride) were dressed alike in period frocks of pale applegreen satin-backed taffeta. Halo hats of stiffened green net were worn and they carried scarlet bouquets.

Sergeant D. Hunter was best man and Sergeant W. Russell was groomsman.

The guests were received at the reception at the Trentham Masonic Hall by Mr. and Mrs. Chorley, assisted by the bridegroom's parents. Miss Helen Griffiths rendered a sacred solo during the service and she and other guests gave items at the reception. Many congratulatory messages were received, among them a cable from Sergeant Paton, the bride's brother-in-law, who is serving with the Second Echelon. When the bride and bridegroom left, Mrs. Campbell wore a mushroom pink frock and hat and a baby beaver fur coat, the gift, of the bridegroom.
