PERSONAL NOTES

Dr. and Mrs. S. D. Rhind, Wellington, are at Raurnati Beach for the Christmas holidays. Miss Jean Fenwick is expected in Wellington this weekend from Auckland to spend Christmas with her mother, Mrs. Eardley Fenwick, Lower Hutt. Mrs. H. Douglas, Napier, is visiting Wellington, and will attend the wedding of her niece, Miss Peggy Wright. Dr. and Mrs. M. G. Louisson, Shirley, will leave Christchurch on Monday to spend ten days in Auckland. They will be accompanied by Miss Kathleen Greenslade, Dunedin. Mrs. Eric Price, Wellington, is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Stables, Merivale, Christchurch. Dr. and Mrs. D. F. Price, Hamilton, are spending the Christmas holidays with Mr. and Mrs. A. P. Smith, Birch Hill, Silverstream. Miss Rachel Rolleston, Timaru, left for the north on Thursday to visit her sisters, Mrs. J. Russell and Mrs. J. Herrick, Hawke's Bay. Mrs. E. Caradus", Hataitai, returned home from Auckland this morning. Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Provost will leave Wellington tomorrow for Wairakei via the Chateau, and will visit Auckland early in the New Year. Miss Eileen Rose, Wellington, is the guest of her aunt. Mrs. James Hight, Christchurch. Mrs. Knox Gilmer, Wellington, was entertained at morning tea on Thursday by the Hastings Women's Community Club and the English-speaking Union, in the Community Club lounge. Miss Eunice Scott, Fitzherbert Avenue, Palmerston North, is visiting Wellington for the Weir—Clarke wedding. Miss Cara Hall, the Wellington pianist who recently completed her studies at the Royal Academy of Music, London, has returned to Wellington, after a holiday spent in Can- ' terbury. Miss Marion Evans, Wellington, will leave on Monday night to spend the holidays with her parents in South I Canterbury.
