COFFEY—HIRD.
St. Andrew's Church was decorated recently with Christmas lilies and arum lilies for the marriage of Edith Anne, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. Hird, Wellington, and Albert William, only son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Coffey, Auckland. The Rev. B. Kilroy officiated.
The bride, who entered the church) with her father, wore a graceful gown of off-white and silver French brocade with heart-shaped neckline and long pointed bodice. The full skirt swept into a long train. Her off-white cut tulle veil fell from a topknot of cream roses and she carried an arm sheaf of cream and white roses. Mrs. O. Dykes was matron of honour, wearing a picture gown of apple green self-figured organdie. Her flowers were an arm sheaf and top-knot of deep red roses.
Mr. W. A. Bloodworth attended the bridegroom.
A reception was held in the Grand Hotel, where Mrs. D. Hird received the guests. She was assisted by Mrs. j. Coffey.
When Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Coffey left by car the bride was wearing a grey tailleur with a black hat and accessories.
