ACCIDENTS

Mr. C. Hoskins, a carpenter, of 27 Aurora Street, Petone, had" two toes of his right foot severed when an axe fell blade-down wards on tnem in' the Thorndon railway yard yesterday afternoon.

Peter Haworth, a message boy, ;6f 13 Konini Road, suffered injuries to his ribs when he fell off his bicycle in Rakau Road yesterday afternoon.

Injuries to his left arm were suffered by Mr. J. Goddard, a blacksmith, of Trinity Avenue, Lower Hutt, when he was struck by a flying piece of steel while working at the Patent Slip yesterday afternoon.

The Free Ambulance took the injured persons to hospital.

Mr. George Sisson, a hawker, was knocked down by a motor-van on the main road near Porirua yesterday afternoon. He received head injuries, and the Free Ambulance took him' to hospital.
