PETROL RESTRICTIONS

NO CHANGE LIKELY

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) BLENHEIM, This Day. In view of further representation being made to the Government on the question of petrol restrictions the Prime Minister (Mr. Fraser) was asked by an interviewer this morning if there was any possibility of the restrictions being eased. He replied that owing to the necessity to accumulate large stocks of petrol should a national emergency arise, there was not any likelihood of any alteration in the present restrictions.
