DAIRY BOARD FINANCE
Accounts of the New Zealand Dairy Board for the year ended July 31 show that the levies on butter and cheese produced £35,140 5s and interest on deposits £1052 8s sd, in all £36,192 13s sd. Half the revenue had been allocated to the Herd Recording Depart-; ment,.and £7701 had been granted to the Dairy Research Institute at Massey College, and £2388 19s 9d to the Animal Research Division of the Department of Agriculture; other items of expenditure were: Members' honoraria, £1400 and travelling expenses, £954 7s lOd, in all £2354 7s lOd; salaries, £1502 5s 6d and travelling expenses, £176 18s lOd; guaranteed price investigation, £1133 11s lid; taxation, £266 18s 6d; increased production campaign, £243 10s 4d. Assets include cash, £10,381; investments (fixed deposit), £49,000; sundry debtors, £19,227.
