NOMURA'S TASK
RESTORING FRIENDSHIP
TOKIO, November 26. Admiral Nomura, after the announcement of his appointment as Ambassador to the United States, stressed that he was determined to leave no stone unturned to restore JapaneseAmerican friendship. "I know it is a difficult task," he said, "and I will not succeed unless the Government and people give me their fullest cooperation."
