ALIEN SCIENTISTS
Release In Britain
LONDON, November 26.
The Home Secretary, Mr. Herbert Morrison, made a statement in the House of Commons today about aliens who are interned. He said he was taking speedy steps for the release of scientists and experts needed for work of national importance. He had arranged with the Ministry of Labour to find out if the internees included men specially qualified for work in which there was a shortage of skilled labour, and to release them if there were no security objections. To the limit of security the Government's policy was to give friendly aliens the widest possible opportunity of release.
