REMAND TO OAMARU
ALLEGED ATTEMPTED
MURDER

DUNEDEN, November 26.
William Meehan (42), charged with attempting murder at Oamaru on October 13 of Harry Frederick McCauley, was remanded to appear at Oamaru on December 10. The charge arose out of an alleged shooting affray when a meeting convened by Jehovah's Witnesses was being conducted. It is alleged that one member of the sect was shot and another wounded by a bayonet.
