VICEREGAL.
Yesterday afternoon his Excellency the Governor-General paid a visit to Wellington College, where he inspected the college cadets and subsequently presented the cadet trophies.
His Excellency presided at a meeting of the Executive Council - this morning.
Mr. L. J. McDonald was welcomed to the Wellington Technical College last evening as a representative of the. Education Board. He replaced Mr. A. C. Blake.
Mr. P. R. M. Hanna, h general manager of the National Bank of New Zealand, left Wellington today on a visit to the Wairarapa, Hawke's Bay, a;nd Gisborne district branches.
, The appointment of M. Armand Nihotte as Consul-General of Belgium at Wellington for New Zealand and its dependencies and the Mandated Territory of Western Samoa has been officially recognised.
Mr. Frederick C. Bobby, an English poultry expert, has been appointed a superintendent of poultry husbandry in New Zealand, and will arrive i~> the Dominion shortly.
Sir Clutha Mackenzie was a passenger by the Monterey from Auckland for San Francisco on Monday.
