AUCKLAND MASTER BUTCHERS
fßy Telegraph—Press Association.) i AUCKLAND, This Day. j The wages grievances of the workers were discussed today at a conference of representatives of the Auckland Master ! Butchers' Association and the men's union. No agreement was reached and the employers afterwards issued a ! statement that the dispute had been \ considered . by the Court of Arbitration and they, therefore, could not agree to the demands of the union, I being of opinion that the award should be binding on both parties. The employers were not prepared to de- j part from the terms of the award. The union secretary, Mr. W. E. Sill, when approached, said he could not make any statement as a report on the conference had to be made to a gen-1 eral meeting of the employees on Sunday. Meanwhile he. could only confirm that no progress, had been made. J
