MURITAI'S SPECIAL TRIP

People of Day's Bay and Eastbourne are keenly interested in the part being played in the war effort by H.M.S. Muritai, the former ferry boat, which has been taken over by the Navy. They are to be given the opportunity tomorrow afternoon of renewing their association with the ship and also of meeting her personnel.

The Muritai Yacht Club's season is to be opened at 2 p.m., and an invitation extended by the Mayor of Eastbourne (Mr. E. W. Wise) for the Muritai to attend has been accepted and approved by the Navy Department. The arrangements are for .the Muritai to tie up at Day's Bay and for the officers and men of the ship to be taken by motor-bus to the yacht club opening. The ship will be open for public inspection from 2 o'clock until 5 o'clock, and a collection will be made in aid of the patriotic funds.
