GERMAN BOMBERS
BROUGHT DOWN AT NIGHT
LONDON, November 1
During October anti-aircraft gunners and British fighters brought down 26 German bombers during night raids. Another bomber was destroyed when it collided with a balloon barrage. This total is two more than the figure for September, and as the September raids were heavier than during October, the comparison is even better than it appears at first sight.
