Consumption of liquid -milk ifl Britain is running about 14 per cent. above pre-war level.
This is a notable increase in tima of war'and is of considerable significance for public health. It is ao counted for largely by greater qua»« tities being drunk by children an£ nursing mothers under the encouragement of Food Ministry schemes. Liquid milk sales are about 80,000,000 gallonf a month. ■
