Officers for 1940-41, elected at the annual meeting of the. Town-planning .Institute of New Zealand yesterday afternoon, are as follows: —President, Mr. E. H. Andrews; senior vice-president, Mr. A. J. Baker; junior vicepresident, the Hon. T. Bloodworth, M.L.C.: | council, Messrs. E. V. Blake, A. H. Bridge, and Js\ C. Haigh (appointed by branches), H. F. Butcher, R. B. Hammond, and G. Druminond (representing the New Zealand Institute of Architects), W. E. Aked. A. J. Baker, and A. R. Galbraith (representing the New Zealand Institution of Engineers), C. 0. Barnett, F. C. Basire, and G. N. T. Goldie (representing the New Zealand Institute of Surveyors), E. Anscombe, M. G. C. McCaul. E. H. Andrews, A. M. Fletcher, J. E. Jones, and the Hon. T. Bloodworth (representing other members) ; honorary secretary and treasurer, Mr. G. Drummond; honorary editor of Bulletin. Mr. F. B. Stephens; secretary-treasurer, Mr. A. T. Jackman.
Following the formal business of the conference visiting members were the guests of the retiring president, Mr. At. G. C. McCaul, and Wellington members in visits of inspection to the State Housing Department's flats at BerhamDore and to Ngahauranga Gorge Road.
