A mix-up in the Rona Hurdles at Trentham yesterday, wlien Lanvood (B. Cosford) fell at the second jump,. bringing down Recollection, ivhose rider (P. Mcßrearty) is seen falling towards the rail ahead of his horse. The third horse in the picture is Ruling Star, who managed to keep clear of the melee. Esperance Bay, the winner, was just ahead of the falling horses. (Left.) A German supply ship at Haugesund being bombed by the Fleet Air Ann. Haugesund is a Norwegian port between Bohn and Hardanger Fiords.
