NORTHLAND QUEEN CARNIVAL
The four candidates in the queen carnival conducted by the Northland Patriotic Committee will be introduced to the public at the community sing which is to be held in St Anne's Parish Hall tonight The candidates were selected by ballot, and the colours which they are to carry was decided in the same manner They are Miss Nola Harris who will represent Nursing and have red as her colour: Miss Joan Hutchinson. the Army (khaki) Miss Mary Cleary. the Navy (blue), and Miss Joan Gapes, the Air Force (grey) Committees have been formed by each of the candidates, and tonight they will make Mi sir first V.d i or votes, in addition to •vhMi i;:e proceeds ot toe community sing will be divided between Tthofour.
