V.C.'S LETTER TO WIFE
75 DAYS IN DISPATCH FROM GERMANY
(Received October 23, 9 a.m.) LONDON, October 22. The wife of Lance-Corporal Harry Nicholls, V.C., of the Grenadier Guards, has received a letter from her husband 75 days after its dispatch from a prison camp in Germany. The letter was posted on August 7, which is a day after his wife received from the King the Victoria Cross which had been awarded posthumously.
