TRACK TRAINING
SCOTTISH HARRIERS
The harrier season having closed runners are now concentrating on training for the track season which commences shortly. Many of the Scottish Harriers are turning out for training at Hataitai Park and indications are that the club will have representatives in every branch of athletics in inter-club contests this year. Many of the young runners who have come forward, A. Jones and A. A. Hudson in particular, should do well. Jones, if his performances in the winter are any criterion, should develop into a middle-distance runner of some ability, and Hudson, with a little experience will make a fine three-miler. Others who are keen and training hard include J. Riddington, F. Silver, A. Reeve, and D. Henderson. The well-known Dunedin sportsman J. W. Holley is acting as trainer and all should benefit from his experience.
The following officers have been elected to control the summer activities of the club:—D. Henderson (treasurer), A. Reeve (club captain), F. Silver, A. Stevens, and J. W. Holley. The official training night is Wednesday.
