AIR FORCE CASUALTIES
The following air casualties have been announced: — I Pilot Officer Winton Selwood Shann, | formerly of 51 Marau Crescent, Auckland, previously reported missing, now confirmed by the International Red Cross to have been killed in. action. Pilot. Officer Basil William Peryman, previously reported missing, now a | prisoner of war in Brussels. His father is Mr. H. W. Peryman, Lincoln, Canterbury. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., This Day.'. j Advice has been received of the death in air operations of Pilot Officer i Robert Young, youngest son of Mr. [ and Mrs. J. C. Young, Palmerston North. Pilot Officer Young was edu- | cated at St. Andrew's College,.: Christchurch. He served in the Bank of New South Wales at Palmerston and Patea I before joining the Air Force, in which he gained distinction, rising from air gunner to Pilot Officer. He had shot down two German machines.
