MILLIONS OF AMERICAN DOLLARS
VALUABLE ARMY CONTRACTS
WASHINGTON, September 26. The House of Representatives unani-i mously approved and sent to the Senate a Bill for a supplementary Army and Navy appropriation of 1,470,000,000 dollars. This makes the last of the 13,000,000,000 dollars of defence expenditures voted this session. The Secretary of War, Mr. Stimson, announced that the Army has awarded contracts totalling 2,936,000,000 dollars! |since July.-.1. , -._
