MESSAGES TO BRITAIN
SAFE ARRIVAL NOTIFIED
The following cablegram announcing the safe arrival of the British children in New Zealand has been sent by the Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. Peter Fraser) to the Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs, London, and the New Zealand High Commissioner:— "Personally met British children, who arrived safely from the United Kingdom today, all in good spirits and looking fit and well. Reception committee giving closest attention to their care and comfort. New Zealand warmly welcomes her little kinsfolk." The Prime Minister also sent a similar message to the Lords Provost of Edinburgh and Glasgow.
The arrival of the children yesterday is described in a report on page 7.
