RECRUITING FOR A.I.F.
WAITING FOR MEN TO LEAVE
HOME DEFENCE FORCE TO
STAND
(Received September 21, 11 a.m.) ADELAIDE, This Day. The Minister of the Army, Senator P. M. Mcßride, stated that large-scale recruiting for the A.I.F. was not .likely to be resumed until some of the troops now in training were sent overseas.. A Melbourne message states that plans for raising a home defence force of 250,000 will not be affected by any decision which may be made to send A.I.F. troops to the Middle East.
