Lady Wilford, who landed at Auckland from England, arrived at "Wellington yesterday en route to Dunedin.j She was accompanied by her sisters, Miss K. McLean, and Miss B. McLean, Dunedin, who met her at Auckland, and with whom she will stay in Dunedin. Mrs. Walter Blundell left Wellington yesterday for a visit to Auckland. Mrs. J. A. Redpath, Fendalton, Christchurch, is visiting her daughter, Mrs. Walter Norwood, Wellington. Mrs. E. M. Wray, Auckland, is the guest of Mrs. Randel, Upper Hutt. Mrs. Brian Bassett, Mount Pleasant, Christchurch, is paying a visit to Wellington. Miss June Cummins, The Rigi, Northland, who has been spending a holiday at the Chateau Tongariro, returned to Wellington this morning. Miss Ethel Law, national general secretary of the Y.W.C.A. for New Zealand, has arrived in New Plymouth from Wellington to attend the annual general meeting of the New Plymouth Y.W.C.A. Miss Law is the guest of Mrs. A. Alexander. Mrs. J. B. O'Loghlen arrived by plane at Wellington yesterday from Auckland. Mrs. J. Brooke White (Seatoun), accompanied by her small son, is in Dunedin visiting her sister, Mrs. John Allan, Roslyn. Miss Joyce Boyens, Wellington, left Jast week for Sydney. Mrs. W. E. Barnard, Napier, is a visitor to Wellington. Mrs. W. L. Burgess, Wanganui, is visiting Wellington, and is staying with Mrs. J. Adair. Mrs. W. T. Nelson, Wellington, is staying in Auckland. Miss Edith Somers Cocks, formerly of Christchurch, has been granted the temporary rank of Charge Sister, while holding the appointment of Sister-in-Charge, Mobilisation Camp Hospital, Ngaruawahia. Mrs. H. M. Oram, Palmerston North, is visiting Napier, and is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. John Mason. Miss F. P. Maunsell, lAasterton, is the guest of . Miss Dorothy Turner, Wanganui. Miss C. G. Goldsworthy, Auckland, who has been in England for the past eighteen months, is one New Zealander helping at the King George and Queen Elizabeth Victoria League Club in Malet Street, London, which is run by the league for the benefit of non-com-missioned officers and men of the overseas forces. After having been at Cambridge University for two years, Miss Jan Williams, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Williams, Turihaua station, Gisborne, after training for a month, has joined the F.A.N.Y.S, She underwent her training at Ketteringham Park, the home of Ethel Boileau, the well-known novelist, who carried out the duties of commandant. She is now driving an ambulance. Miss Williams was formerly a student at Canterbury University College. Mrs. J. Barns-Graham, accompanied by her daughter, Mrs. D. Stephens, South Africa, is staying at her town house in Gisborne.
