WRESTLING ON MONDAY.
The two most popular wrestlers in New Zealand, Sergeant-Major "Lofty" Blomfield and Ear] McCready, will meet in the professional heavyweight bout which is to be staged at the Wellington Town Hall on Monday night. Not since last year have local followers of the sport been able to see a contest between these two men and the occasion is consequently a particularly important one. Added interest is given to the match by the fact that within the past few weeks Blomfield has scored his .first win over McCready, something which was once thought to be beyond him, and the New Zealand champion is naturally keen to show that what he has done once before he can do again. McCready is just as eager to have his revenge and there is every reason to expect some particularly hectic exchanges before it is all over. The more aggressive style which McCready has adopted this year means that Blomfield will be in for a hot time if he adopts his usual tactics. Preliminaries will commence at 8 o'clock.
