"four wives."
Sequels so rarely even approximate the quality of their originals that Warner Bros. ,feel they deserve a special commendation for the "Four Wives," the aftermath to the "Four Daughters" which appeared on most oi the ten-best lists for last year. The Lemps wear well. They seemed a natural enough family when first we met them, not the usual caricature family Hollywood enjoys inventing; .they seem as natural now. You may remember that "Four Daughters" married off three of the girls, but made one tof them the widow of the unhappy Mickey Borden who felt that life had it in for him. "Four Wives" has taken up their story where it was left off, has found a husband for the unmarried sister, has presented babies to the others, has ponsoled the widowed
Ann with Jeffrey Lynn, the nice young man who used to swing, oh the squeaking Lemp gates, and even has, completed the unfinished symphony Mickey had composed.
