(By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, August 14. John Katan (16st 101b) drew with Joe Corbett (16st 101b) in a spirited bout this evening. Katan took a fall in the sixth round with a toe hold and, press, after he had made Corbett1 groggy with a few "pile drivers," and Corbett took the equalising fall in the eighth round by pinning Katan in a cradle hold, after a series of stomach throws. I
The lighting of the following streets is to be improved:—Albemarle, Kaihuia, and Sydenham Roads, Northland; Shakespeare Avenue, Old Karori Road, Clarke Street, Aberdeen Quay, Volga Street, Glasgow Street, and Upland Road.
