ALEXANDER MINES RESULTS
Gold returns of Alexander Mines for July are as follows: —Battery department, 323 tons of ore crushed for 960z 14dwt of melted gold. Cyanide department: Not cleaned up. Total estimated value, £715; in addition, 8.3 tons of concentrates were saved, valued at £420.
Queensland Woollen Manufacturing Co., Ltd., shows a net profit of £7218 for the year ended June 30, compared with £4308 for 1938-39 and £1968 for 1937-38. Dividend is raised from 5 per cent, to 6 per cent., and £3576 is carried forward, against £858 brought forward.
