"I am in receipt of the old age pension, so I can't very well be a vagrant," said Henry Edward Jefferd, • aged 69, who appeared before Mr. J. L. Stout, SM in the Magistrate's Court yesterday, charged with being a rogue and a vagabond in that he had insufficient lawful means of support. He was convicted and sentenced to three months' imprisonment, to be served in the Wanganui prison.
