N.Z.E.F. HOSPITAL

INSPECTION BY MR. AND MRS.

JORDAN

LONDON, July 30.

The New Zealand High Commissioner, Mr. Jordan, accompanied by his wife and Miss Gwen Jordan, visited the No. 2 New Zealand Hospital in the south of England, which is under the charge of Colonel McKillop. The hospital, which was recently constructed, consists of hutments and includes an operating theatre and X-ray apparatus. The doctors, n.c.o.s, and staff occupy adjacent houses.

The Jordans also viewed the convalescent home, a fine residence - and most suitable for its purpose, which was made available by the generosity of a loqal woman. Mr. Jordan was impressed with the whole arrangements. About 130 cases of minor illness are at present under treatment.
