COMPLETE RETURNS

Final returns of voluntary enlistment over itie whole Dominion for service with the 2nd N.Z.E.F. show the total up to July 22, when the voluntary system ended, as 60,812. At the end of last week there were 5328 men, including 360 not available for service, awaiting medical examination. Of those that had been before medical boards up to the same date 39,936 had been passed fit, and 9277 had been declared permanently unfit. There were 4225 names on the temporarily unfit list, including 568 not available for service. Important occupations held back totalled 3037. Up to the end of j the week 24,494" men had been dispatched to camp, 10,238 were awaiting dispatch to camp, and there were 1221 fit men not immediately available for camp.
