COMPETITIONS TO BE HELD

LONDON, July 29.
A meeting of the Football League agreed to hold competitive matches in two regions, north and south, from August 31 to December 28. The management committee proposed that the games should be played on an amateur basis, but the meeting decided to pay the players 30s a match.
