LARGE ARMY CONTRACTS
WASHINGTON, July 17,
The Assistant Secretary of War, Mr. L. Johnson, announced that contracts worth 150,000,000 dollars for new army planes closed between July 1 and 13. He said also that in the same period the War Department closed contracts amounting to 401,000,000 dollars for all kinds of materials, including 200,000,000 dollars for ordnance.
