NELLIE BLY FEAT
The record-breaking "around the > world in 72 days," via ships, trains, camels, and horseback, accomplished by the woman reporter Nellie Bly, in 1889, will be recreated for films in the near future by RKO-Radio. The studio has purchased M. M. Musselman's original story inspired by old newspaper accounts of the thrilling travel feat — and named Dave Hempstead as producer. Negotiations are on to use one of Hollywood's biggest stars in the role of the New York editor who sent the intrepid Miss Bly forth to outdo Jules Verne's fantastic story, "Around the World in 80 Days." The part of Nellie has not been cast.
