PLANTING RAILWAY LAND
Referring to the discussion at the last meeting of the Beautifying Society on the planting of the railway land near the floating dock, the chairman, Captain S. S. Holm, said today that the Railway Department had at one stage offered to plant this spot, but had since decided to put it to use themselves. The unwillingness of the Department to plant railway land, spoken of by Mr. G. H. Davis, the railway representative on the society, referred only to this particular piece of railway land. "The Department has always been ready to plant any larid which would lend itself to beautifying," said Captakr Holm.
