HOPES NOT FULFILLED
MR. SULLIVAN IN AUSTRALIA
MELBOURNE, July 5
The New Zealand Minister of Supply, Mr. Sullivan, left for Sydney tonight in company with the Prime Minister, Mr. Menzies. Before leaving Mr. Sullivan said he was uncertain whether his mission would be completed till he had a further meeting with Mr. Menzies in Sydney.
"I hope to get completed the question of manufactured materials from Australia, but I do not appear to be getting them to the extent I hoped," he said. "I am getting material which Mill have to be completed in New Zealand, which will have to get on its toes.
• "To whatever extent Australia can help she is helping." .
