Although Gay Boa has won over country in the south, including the Wingatui Steeples on the middle day at Dunedin last month, he has never done anything to suggest that a race of th"s class oi the Wellington Steeplechase is within his compass. However, he is being brought to Trentham by the Washdyke trainer E. J. Ellis, who won the Wellington Steeplechase last year with Survoy.
