FIRST PRIZE TO NORTH AUCKLAND

First prize in the "Wish Me Luck" art union, drawn in the Masonic Hall last night, went to a Whangaruru South, North Auckland, ticket-holder. The metropolitan centres were not well represented among prize-winners, a ticket bearing a nom-de-plume that looked like "Bghein" which took the fourth prize being the best that came Wellington's way. ■■ The police were represented at the drawing by Sergeant A. E. Kearton and the Department of Internal Affairs by Mr. V. G. Sanson. The prize-list is as follows:— First Prize, £2000.-183062, "Mac," Whangaruru South.
