SALVATION ARMY HOSTEL IN LONDON
Lieut-Commissioner J. Evan Smith has received word from the international headquarters of the Salvation Army in London that General Carpenter has opened a hostel for the use of iN'ew Zealand soldiers on leave in London. Recreational facilities and refreshments are proviat .at this hostel, as well as sleeping accommodation, and the Army officers do all possible to make the men feel that it is a home from home for them. Recently the Queen paid a visit to the hostel.
