BOXING AT TOWN HALL TONIGHT
At the Town Hall tonight a professional lightweight boxing contest over twelve three-minute rounds will be staged between Young Gildo, the "Filipino Flash," and Corporal Jack Jarvis, the New Zealand champion. There have been some stirring battles between these two in recent years, and it has still to be satisfactorily settled which is the master of the other. Gildo is a colourful figure, who has become extremely popular in this country as well as in Australia, and both he.,and Jarvis are at present at the top of their form. An excellent programme of preliminaries will commence at 8 o'clock.
