FARM PURCHASED
The sale to Mr. S. G. Holland, National member of Parliament for Christchurch North, of the Greta Paddock property at the Hurunui River has been completed, states the "Press." The property is among the best known in North Canterbury, and was owned by Mr. Norman D. Campbell, who also owns the Glendhu estate. Greta Paddock is of 1114 acres, and carries a Corriedale flock of a little more than 2000. Much of the property is suitable for agriculture. The figure at which the transaction took place is not stated, but the sale was on a walk-in walk-out basis, and, it is understood, was for cash. Mr. Holland, who recently offered his Christchurch business to the State to help the war effort, has for many years been connected with motor and general engineering and importing in Christchurch.
