Cable advices from Colombo this week" report a fall of Is per cwt in quotations for desiccated coconut. Singapore advises pineapples still firm in price. Tapioca (seed) has declined 8d perxwt, and (pearl) 6d. Pepper has fallen this week by l-16d per Ib. Australian sultanas can be sold for July shipments as for June. Californian prunes will be available and have shown a slight drop in prices during the past day or two. They have been licensed to take the place of Australian prunes for the time being. The cream of tartar position is now becoming acute as Australian manufacturers 'are not now exporting supplies of raw material from Italy. Very small supplies of cream of tartar are obtainable from England. Citric and tartaric acids are also very short, supplies arriving in driblets. Extreme .prices obtain for these articles from the United States.
