MAX BAER BEATS GALENTO
NEW YORK, July 2.
Max Baer technically knocked out Tony Galerito in a heavyweight boxing match at Roosevelt Stadium, Jersey City. Galento was unable to answer the bell for the eighth round of the scheduled 15-round bout. The winner will meet Joe Louis in. September. Galento weighed 17st 7£lb, and Baer 15st lljlb.
