ADELAIDE GIRL IN FILMS.
Judith Anderson, who plays the malignant Mrs. Danvers, the housekeeper in the film "Rebecca," was born in Adelaide. Her first stage part was in "A Royal Divorce," in Sydney. "Since then she has appeared in Eng-
land, France, Italy, and the United States, as well as throughout Australia and New Zealand. Her recent success on the New York stage in "Family Portrait" brought her to the notice of David O. Selznick, and he signed her for the housekeeper's role m "Eebecca." She has also played m Shakespeare.
