MANNEQUIN MARRIES,
Miss Margaret Vyner, Australian mannequin who is well known in New Zealand, was1 recently married in England to Hugh Williams, popular English actor, who is aged about 37. From the time she started as a mannequin in Sydney to her graduation as a film and stage actress' Miss Vyner has been prominent. She made a name for herself on the London stage when she played in "French Without Tears," at the Embassy. .Later she became hostess at the Cafe de Paris, in London. Mr. Williams is now in the Army. He was in Australia and New Zealand in
1927 with the Boucicault company headed by Irene Vanbrugh and Dion Boucicault (Prudence Vanbrugh, their daughter, is now married and lives in Sydney; she is Mrs. Jimmy Dickson, of Darling Point). Mr. Williams was then about 24 and with Ronnie Ward shared the romantic roles in the repertoire. He is dark, slim, and of middle height; played in "Pride and Prejudice" on the London stage; has acted in films both in England and Hollywood, and is very popular in America.
