SKIN AND HIDE SALE.
Abraham and Williams, Limited, Palmerston North, report on their monthly skin appraisal and hide sale as follows:— Sheepskins: Prices "onjihe same level -as last month. Hides: Prices showed a further decrease, on. last month's prices. Calfskins, however, maintained a good sale, prices being in excess of the S.D.P. value. Prices received were as follows:— Sheepskins: Lambs, lOd to lid; fine hoggets, 9|d to lOd; hoggets, 8d to did; crossbred, 9Jd to lOd; quarter- to half wools, 7|d to 9|d; shorts, 6d to 6Jd; pelts, 4Jd to 4id; crossbred damaged, 7d to Bfd; lambs, damaged, sid to 6d; inferior, damaged, 4d to 4id. Hides: Ox, heavy, 43d, medium 4 l-8d to 4 5-Bd, light 4d to 4Jd; cow, heavy 4d to 4^d, medium 4d to 4 3-Bd, light 4d; to 4|d, medium farmers, 3d to 3|d, light farmers 3d to 3 7-8 d; yearlings, first 6 l-8d to 7 l-Bd, second 6d to 6 5-8 d; calf, light first 12 5-8 d to 13 5-Bd, light second 12Jd to 12 5-Bd, cut 12d to 12 5-Bd.
